Breda, mijn stad. De stad waar ik geboren en getogen ben is dit jaar (2017) verkozen tot beste binnenstad van Nederland in de categorie grote steden. En terecht! Nu ben ik natuurlijk al bevooroordeeld als het om deze stad gaat, maar het is echt zo. De leukste winkels, hippe eettentjes en restaurants, terrasjes aan de haven, cultuur, rijke historie en de natuur, je vindt het hier allemaal. Deze week nam Linda TV haar kijkers ook al mee naar een aantal hotspots in Breda.
Maar als groot shopfanaat vind ik de ruime diversiteit aan winkels in Breda wel heel erg fijn. Online shoppen is handig en leuk, maar tegen een dagje slenteren door onze gezellige Bredase straatjes zeg ik geen nee. 
Zo ontdekte ik een aantal maanden terug Moodstore aan de Haagdijk 82. Weliswaar stuitte ik hierop via Instagram, moet ik eerlijk bekennen. Eigenaresse Vanessa Garcia Mendéz startte deze zaak in april dit jaar vanuit haar liefde voor planten. Ze helpt haar klanten met vol enthousiasme en weet alles te vertellen over de bijzondere plantensoorten die ze in haar zaak verkoopt. De winkel staat vol met de mooiste, trendy (kamer,-)planten en woonaccessoires van diverse merken. Als je bij Vanessa een plant aanschaft, heeft zij deze met haar groene vingers vooraf al voorzien van de juiste voeding en pot. Zo heb je er geen omkijken naar de eerste periode thuis. Niet alleen werkt ze vanuit de winkel, maar regelmatig is Vanessa met haar retro VW bus ook te vinden op markten & fairs. Wil je iets thuis laten bezorgen? Ook dat is geen enkel probleem.
